Compact House sees a series of subtle interventions that revitalise the existing dwelling, creating a sense of openness with an improved connection to the backyard. A new central floating staircase allows natural light to filter through from the skylight above. Responding to the small scale of the site, the design thoughtfully inserts an expansive master bedroom, luxurious ensuite and study upstairs in order to adapt to the needs of a family and their growing children.
